The 8th Vendee Globe race starts 6th November 2016

This is the world famous, solo unassisted, round the world race in 60' monohulls, IMOCA boats. There are 29 skippers hoping to make the start line off Les Sables D'Olonne (including Brits Alex Thompson & Richard Tolkien).

The Race Village opens three weeks before the start of the race. In the week preceeding the start the boats can be seen on the pontoons.
